ONE Fight Night 47: Stamp Fairtex silences her doubts with defiant split-decision win over Selina Flores | MMA News

Stamp Fairtex got her answer.

For months, she’d questioned whether her body – and more importantly, her mind – was ready. The meniscus tear that ravaged her knee in May 2024 had cast a shadow over every fight since. Hesitation had crept into her performances. Doubt had whispered in her ear.

However at ONE Fight Night 47, which aired live on Sky Sports in the early hours of Saturday morning from Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium, the Thai megastar silenced those voices with a defiant split-decision victory over two-time WBC Muay Thai world champion Selina ‘Teep Queen’ Flores, proving she’s ready to reclaim what she never stopped believing was hers.

From the opening bell, Stamp was willing to engage. She launched body kicks at Flores, pressured in the clinch, and drove knees upstairs with the precision of a surgeon. The American struggled to find her range at first. Her trademark teeps – the weapons that have made her dangerous – failed to materialise early on.

Flores grew into the second frame. Her low kicks began to find their mark. A sharp right hand cracked cleanly. The signature teep landed, and she finally found her rhythm. But Stamp met fire with fire, her counters arriving with timing that suggests the rust had genuinely fallen away.

The third round reached a crescendo and exploded into chaos. Flores had taken the lead, putting the Thai star on the back foot and often throwing first. Stamp comfortably played the counter game, repeatedly carving her shin into the American’s body.

When the American threw a spinning back elbow that sailed past her rival, Stamp didn’t hesitate – she flung one back and hit the target. A cartwheel kick followed, drawing roars from the crowd and a nod of respect from her rival. Even the 28-year-old from Pattaya couldn’t help but grin from ear to ear.

In the end, the judges split their scorecards – and two of them were swayed by the Thai’s output, giving her the win.

It may have been a razor-close victory, but for a fighter who was returning from a serious injury, had dropped a decision in her comeback fight last November, and admitted she had a poor showing in her last victory this past June, it was far more than that.

This was a performance that kept fans on the edge of their seats. The fighter herself was smiling and boldly taking risks on a previously injured leg that made her think twice over the past several months. It was vindication and proof that Stamp Fairtex was truly, finally, back.

Stamp – the first person to hold kickboxing, Muay Thai, and MMA gold in ONE Championship – improved her record to 66-18, and her winning streak extends to two. Whether she pursues the ONE Women’s Atomweight MMA world title she relinquished in May 2025 or continues in Muay Thai next, one thing is for certain: she’s ready.
